Why Centre Concord? The All Knighter committee is following the lead of terrific All Knighters in 2015 and 2016 – they found a venue that was fun, convenient, affordable, and not too much work for the parent volunteers. We are fortunate to again be joining Northgate and four other nearby high schools that have been hosting grad night events at Centre Concord for a number of years. All five schools work together to decorate the venue and each school hosts its own night’s event. Five separate events, all the same week.
Who will be at the All Knighter? This is one last chance for the Class of 2017 to join together, so we encourage everyone to come. Only Las Lomas graduates will be at our event Friday night. Our partnering schools graduate all different nights and have a solo event for each school. What will the venue be like? The Concord Centre venue includes inside areas for spa, casino, dancing, food and other fun themed areas and secured, fenced, well-lit outside areas for inflatables and other larger games. We will also have exclusive access to the adjacent bowling alley once it closes to the public from midnight until 3 AM.
How do graduates get there on graduation night? Because the venue is so close, bus transportation won’t be provided. Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to load up a carpool of new graduates and whisk them off to Centre Concord. Parking is limited at the venue, so join your friends and head on over. It is easier and safer for everyone if graduates are dropped off and picked up.
What should graduates bring? Graduates are encouraged leave their valuables at home. Graduates should only bring what they can fit in the gallon Ziploc bag we provide when they arrive at check in. Prizes, jackets or sweatshirts, and flip flops can be checked in throughout the night and stored in our bag check area. No backpacks or water bottles will be allowed. All items brought into Centre Concord will be subject to search by security personnel.
What should graduates wear? There will be outdoor and indoor events as well as bowling. Dress accordingly. Bring a jacket and wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes for outdoor games! If you would like to have a pair of flip-flops to change into, you can leave them in bag check.
What will the security be like? All graduates, regardless of age, must have permission slips signed by their parent or guardian on file ahead of time. The parent or guardian named on the All Knighter Foundation permission slip form must be able to be reached the night of the event. Please make sure your phone is turned on all night. Graduates will not be allowed to leave the event early until their parent is reached and approves of their release.
Upon entrance, graduates will be breathalyzed and checked for hidden belonging. No backpacks or water bottles will be allowed in.
Cell phones will be allowed at the event but are the responsibility of the graduate. Make sure they are fully charged and a backup battery is brought if needed. Charging area will not be available during the event. Check in will start at 9:00 pm and end at 10:00 pm. Graduates should arrive before 10:00! There are no in and out privileges.
Is there going to be a Post Office? Of course! The Post Office is a popular tradition. This is an area where seniors receive notes from friends, family, teachers and staff. This is an easy way to send a "thinking of you" message, a favorite quote, or a congratulatory note to a graduate on graduation night. Please encourage friends and family members to join you in writing a brief message to your graduate!
- The graduate’s first and last name in the subject line of the email
- The sender's name at the end of the message (so the student knows who is sending the message)
Emails must be received by June 5th to insure the graduate will receive them on graduation night. Questions? Contact Sarah Lewis at (925) 890-3503 or Julie Powell (925) 768-0452
During the event seniors can also write notes to put in another graduate’s mailbox.
What about food? A great dinner will be provided when the graduates arrive then the food will keep coming all night long including snacks and beverages. At the end, there will be breakfast. If a graduate has a food allergy, please make sure to note it on the permission slip. If you would feel more comfortable providing separate food for your graduate with a food allergy, please let us know and we’ll help with that.
Do I need sign permission slips? Yes! Please follow the links to both permission slips:

Registering for Selective Service
When a young man in the US turns 18 he has a lot on his mind, such as graduating high school and transitioning to college or a job. One other important thing is registering with the Selective Service. What happens if he doesn’t register? He stops being eligible for student loans, federal jobs and job training programs. Young men can register online at www.sss.gov. They can also register at the local post office or by filling out the form they receive from the Selective Service.
Parents – please remind your students to put an apple on our “Life After Las Lomas” tree.
Please also encourage your students to write a thank you note or email to teachers, counselors and other staff who have assisted them along the way. It means a lot to staff members to receive a note from a student.
All seniors will receive one free final transcript. Mrs. Smith will be visiting all government/econ classes the week of May 15th to collect information on where the final transcript should be sent. Additional transcripts may be ordered on the web store, however order carefully since the fee is non-refundable.
Seniors should update Naviance with information on college attending, results of college applications, etc.
