All-Knighter Installation Schedule: Many, Many Volunteers Needed
WE REALLY, REALLY NEED YOUR HELP to decorate the gym for the All Knighter. Bring your family, friends and college kids (but not your senior) to the gym anytime during the hours listed below. Bring your tools and ladders, too. The All Knighter is an amazing gift we give our children, so we hope you will get involved in the final stretch.
- 6/9: 8 am - 3 pm (Preview Night is 6 pm – 9 pm
- 6/10: 8 am – 5 pm (graduation begins at 7 pm)
- 6/11: 5 am – 8 am (clean-up shift)
Clean Up Shift: Saturday June 11th 5 am-8 am
We don’t care what you look like at 5 am and we promise not to post pictures. So pleeeeze show up on Saturday to help us clean up after our messy kids. You’ll be home by 8ish, can jump back into bed, and pretend it never happened! There will be plenty of coffee and munchies on hand. If you can help but are afraid to commit, just show up anytime you can. If you’re ready to take the plunge and join our crew, contact Randi Esmay at resmay@astound.net.
Important Procedures for Entering the All-Knighter
After the graduation ceremony, grads may wish to change into comfortable clothes for the All Knighter. Below are the changing procedures for ensuring smooth entry into the event.
NOTE: Students CANNOT leave campus to change their clothes.
- Students who wish to change must do so before entering the Check-in line. The changing areas are located in Room 201 for boys and Room 301 for girls. They will be open from 8:30 pm– 10 pm. Signs will be posted directing students to the rooms.
- Students cannot bring backpacks into the AK; please wait while your child changes so that you can bring their formal clothes and caps & gowns home.
- Cell phones are not permitted. We will place personal items, such as phones, keys and wallets, into labeled Ziploc bags and store them until check-out at 5 am. Students are welcome to bring cameras (please label), which we will store when they no longer wish to carry them. Students will be provided a large bag at check-in to store their yearbook and extra outerwear which they can retrieve during the event.
- Check-in begins at 9 pm and closes at 10 pm. Students must be changed and in line by 10 pm to gain admittance into the event.
- Students must have their photo ID with them at Check-in.
- We encourage students to wear watches so they don’t miss any activities during the night. Monitors will be set up to display the time for food stations and different events.
- Breathalyzers may be used at Check-in in accordance with district regulations.
- The AK ends at 5 am. Students who wish to leave early must go to the security station and call their parents for approval, even if they are 18 years old. Students will not be readmitted.
Take a Sneak Peak at the All-Knighter on June 9
Experience the amazing transformation of the Las Lomas gym on Thursday, June 9 from 6 – 9 pm. Bring your friends and family, but leave your senior at home! Seniors must wait until the party starts after the graduation ceremony. The All Knighter Preview is hosted by the Class of 2012.
Last Chance to Return Memory Boards on Tuesday June 7
Memory boards must be returned to the front office by Tues. June 7th or they will not be displayed at the AK. Creating a board doesn’t take a lot of time, but the memories will last forever. For help, refer to the instructions included with the frame. If you need a frame or have questions, contact Lisa Santos at 930-6815 or Claire Russo at 381-5616.
Permission Slips REQUIRED for All-Knighter Entry
Your senior will be denied admission into the All-Knighter - even if you purchased a ticket - if the packet of permission slips isn’t returned to the front office. Three permission forms are required to attend the All-Knighter and must be completed by both parents and students. Download the forms here or get them from the school's front office. Make sure that both you and your child provide signatures. Return the completed and signed forms to the school office ASAP. All-Knighter Ticket Purchase is DEADLINE IS WED. JUNE 8

Sign Up to Help at the All-Knighter
The All Knighter post-graduation celebration for the graduates is an amazing event that takes lots of volunteers to make it work! Volunteers are practically guaranteed to have fun working at this event. The All-Knighter runs from 8:30 PM - 5:00 AM, Friday, June 10th-June 11th. If you can volunteer for a shift(s), click here. What is the All-Knighter?
The All-Knighter (Grad Night) will be held immediately following graduation on Friday, June 10, 2011. It is a night of safe and wholesome fun, and a night to regress and be a child one last time. There are prizes, games, food, music, live entertainment and just an all around good, safe and sober time to be had by all.
