College/Career Center
The College/Career Center is an information resource center of Las Lomas High School’s Counseling Office. Students and parents are welcome to visit and are encouraged to use the many resources of the Center, some of which can be checked out for home use. These include information on the following:
- Colleges and universities
- College-related guides and selection information
- Financial aid and scholarships
- Community service opportunities
- Job listings, work permits
- Peer tutor and private tutor lists
- Computers for students and parent use
2010-11 On-Campus Events
The following events are scheduled so far and will be held at 7 pm in the LLHS Theatre:
- 9/29/10 Senior Specific for senior students and parents
- 10/18/10 PSAT 8 - 11 AM: Sign up in the C/C Center - signup dates TBA
- 10/19/10 Financial Aid Workshop for all parents
- 11/17/10 College Info Night for Juniors (students and parents)
- 2/2/11 DVC Info Night for senior students and parents

College Representatives Visits
The Center hosts visits by college admissions officers who meet with junior and senior students mostly in the Fall. The reps who visit Las Lomas are admissions counselors and the very people who read those college applications. Juniors and seniors interested in hearing a representative from a specific school can pick up a pass in the College/Career Center. Check the schedule of visits in the College/Career Center.
