“Every 15 Minutes” Video*
November, Date/Time TBA
Speaker: Kim Fisher, Vice Principal, Las Lomas High School & Walnut Creek Police Department
Did you know that every 15 minutes in the United States a young person is killed in a drunk-driving accident? To challenge our students to think about drinking, driving, personal safety and the responsibility of making mature decisions, Las Lomas High School, in conjunction with the Walnut Creek Police Department and various other area medical and rescue organizations, has offered to their students the “Every 15 Minutes” prevention program every other year. In November, Las Lomas will host a viewing of the videotape that was taken during last spring’s “Every 15 Minutes” event. Come join Vice Principal Kim Fisher and members of the Walnut Creek Police Department as they discuss the “Every 15 Minutes” program and how it has affected the families in our community.
*Warning: This videotape contains graphic material and is unsuitable for younger audiences. High School students and their parents and other adult members of the communities are welcome to attend.
