                        Boosters FAQs

Where does the sports participation fee go?
This is a District fee to underwrite approximately 100 team bus trips a year for Las Lomas, and defray costs for referees and umpires, league fees, etc. This fee does not pay for your student’s uniform, balls or equipment.

Where do the event admission fee go?
They go to the District to pay for officiating.

Where does the Boosters membership fee go?
Your Boosters membership directly benefits the athletes at Las Lomas, e.g., balls for all sports, clinics for coaches, athlete scholarship fund, scoreboards, etc.

How many students benefit from Boosters support?
Over 65% of our girls and 70% of our boys at Las Lomas play sports.

How does Las Lomas Boosters get its money?

Funding Sources
Boosters is part of the combined efforts of all the parent groups to raise needed funds to support all programs. A donation to the Walnut Creek Education Foundation (WCEF K-12) at the $500 level or above includes a family membership in Boosters. The Boosters Club also raises funds through many other efforts:

Membership Fees
Membership in the organization includes a season pass to all Las Lomas home football, basketball, wrestling contests and any other home sporting event that charges an entrance fee.

Las Lomas Events Calendar Sales
Las Lomas Boosters publish a calendar with all the sporting events and important school dates for the current school year. If you wish to advertise in next year’s calendar and/or add birthday, anniversary, etc., please contact one of the Board members. This is a great way to support your student and school organization!

Commemorative Plaques
Commemorative plaques for the gym foyer are lasting ways to remember your son or daughter’s participation in sports. For $250, parents of student athletes may purchase bronze plaques in recognition of their student’s years at Las Lomas High School. The plaques are affixed to tiles that line the hallway/foyer of the Gym. The Boosters Club is creating a “Wall of Fame” at the school and raising needed funds for our sports program in the process.

Sports Decals
Sports Decals are available for each of the sports at Las Lomas High School.

Crab Feed & Auction
The Boosters Annual Crab Feed & Auction will be held Saturday February 7, 2009 at the Shadelands Civic Arts Center on Ygnacio Valley Road.
