OPEN PTSA Executive Board Positions

2025-2026 School Year

We're reaching out to invite you to become an active part of the Las Lomas PTSA.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!  Your involvement on the executive board is crucial in providing essential resources and enriching experiences for our students.  Our PTSA supports critical academic needs, is an active voice on decisions that impact your child’s health, safety and quality of education, and builds a stronger, more inclusive school community.

Why Join the PTSA Executive Board?
Direct Impact:

Help fund important school initiatives like classroom supplies for elective classes such as art and auto shop

Voice for Students:

Participate in decision-making that directly affects your child's education.

Community Building:

Connect with other parents and build a stronger school community through events and activities.

The Las Lomas PTSA Executive Board is looking to fill open positions for the 2025-2026 school year:

President - Oversees and coordinates the work of an executive board to run the PTSA effectively and presides over meetings

Recording Secretary - Takes minutes at board and association meetings and maintains records to pass on at the end of the term

Treasurer - Maintains permanent records to track unit funds and financial transactions, pays bills authorized by board or association, prepares reports for every board and association meeting and an annual financial report, and ensures taxes and reports required by PTA bylaws, insurance or federal and state governments are completed and submitted by the due dates

Auditor - Reviews the books and financial records of a PTA to determine their accuracy, presents written reports on financial reviews to the board for review and the association for adoption, and uploads copies of adopted financial reviews to the document retention system as indicated in unit bylaws

VP Programs - Collaborates with the principal, PTSA president, and other campus student groups to coordinate, plan and implement programs such as parent education nights

VP Ways and Means - Plans and executes fundraising events with the support of a committee and volunteers to meet the budget's needs
